Allow me to add multiples of a category to my profile
Let me classify myself as more than one role, in more than one city, and in more than one industry.

Search for people that are looking for a specific role
If say I'm searching for a start up to join that needs a developer, I could just search for start ups looking for developer. As it stands now I have to do a reverse search, search for people who are not looking for a developer and then look at everyone's profile to see what they are looking for. Make sense?

Profile activity status
It would be helpful to understand when was the last time someone logged in or initiated any type of activity on the site.
Before taking the time to e-mail a profile, it would be good to know that at least they are active on the site and therefore, more likely to be responding to messages
21 votesWe will be releasing a new search results algorithm shortly that will surface most recently active members to the top of the search results. Hopefully this will be helpful in the meantime while we consider a more advanced profile activity status. Thanks for the suggestion!

Search by keyword
Its hard to put every idea into these broad sub categories- especially for nitch markets or multiple markets that may be integrated into the idea. If I can search for the work "Karaoke" for instance, then it should search the entire profile and come up at the top of the list
15 votesWe’ve implementing something similar where you can search by skill, name, and credential, but we’ll keep thinking about ways to search the entire profile for keywords in someone’s summary.

Combine engineer and programmer/developer roles
Its not really clear why there has to be both engineer and programmer/developer roles. It caused some confusion for the recent TechStars Founders Dating event, half used engineer and half used programmer/developer.
10 votesengineer is not necessarily software engineer. Lets leave this open, hopefully we get some users to comment, if not we can review more closely and consolidate – we certainly want to avoid overlaps. Thanks for you input!

Create new category of "Innovator"
Create new category of "Innovator" under the "I'm best described as" section of user profile

Allow me to add my own events
Link in through meetup or eventbrite or something so we can fill out what events we are attending or just link the profiles.

New Member Notification
Is there a way for us to get notified when a new member registers?
Maybe putting all new members on the top of a search and marking as new until viewed. Or maybe a message will be sent to my message box.
Just a thought. Thanks.
5 votesCurrently the best way to get notified when a new member registers is to get check the box in Settings for “Wanna get notified if a new entrepreneur joins who’s a good match for you?” This won’t send you notifications for every new user (you’d get so many notifications) but we’ll review your idea about putting the new members on the top of the search and/or marking them as new until viewed. Stay tuned.

Add "Operations" to "looking for" option menu
The closest I can get to saying "I need a COO/operations person" is "business development" - which is pretty different from operations.
It would be really useful to add Operations to the drop-down "looking for" menu.

Filter by hours per week
I'm looking for a full-time cofounder, so it would be great to be able to filter by that.

Clarify the industry you work in vs. the startup
The industry I work in is different from the industry my start-up is in. So it was unclear which industry I should select. I would like the option to put both - the industry I work in highlights my skills and length of experience, and the industry for my star-up makes it clear to others what I am trying to accomplish.

Custom message templates
Anytime you want to introduce yourself and make an offer, you should have a custom/standard reply button. That way you have alter it a little, but not have to rewrite every message and forget stuff. Ths could also work for declining offers. However, maybe there could be an I'm not interested .... But I know someone who might be fill in the blank reply. Fill free to Contact them and let them know I sent you.

Indicate if I've already contacted that person
Please insert a check showing this candidate was contact by you via cofonderslab in the bottom left of there page. If we could see that message that would be great to.

Leave feedback about a CoFoundersLab member
It would be a good idea to leave feedback concerning people. It would be a way for the community to police themselves like eBay and Amazon. People might have more of an incentive to stay honest, if their reputation depended on it. This could be in the form of a voting system.

Clarify how to respond to "What I'm Looking For" when signing up
I saw you already closed a thread requesting this, but I'd like to try to ask the question differently.
When filling out this section, it's unclear as to whether you should be answering for what you want from another person as a co-founder, or what you can bring to the table yourself as a cofounder.
It was confusing to me because it seemed like I should be providing what I bring to the table to entice others to to join me. Especially because this is part of a profile, which made me think should be answered with "about me" answers.

Dedicated field on profile separate from Summary field to describe my business/startup
For those of us looking to have co-founders join our startup - I see a lot of value in actually describing what that startup is. Even if it's limited to just a few sentences.
